Our Garden Robin
A bird which in the British Isles is so used to being with and around humans that it will literally eat out of your hand. The Finns tell me that over here it is regarded as a bird of the forest which rarely comes anywhere near humans. Nevertheless we have seen at least two in and around our gardens this year and today was no exception. It has snowed and snowed all day and then it has snowed some more. The local birds were craving any bit of sustenance they could find.
