Botch or Batch Job

The extra is of the lovely chair now stripped and sanded smooth ready for a wax or oil, not sure which yet. However, as I assembled it I realised the arms were not sitting quite right. My main shot shows the difference between the arms in terms of their size and the position of the hole for the bolt.  

So lots of measuring and weighing up and there is now a new hole in the side of the chair.  Both arms look will like a pair and will also be horizontal. But only I will know this detail...........
