Eurasian Eagle Owl

The weather wasn't so good today so we went and checked out Screech Owl Sanctuary. There was a live flying demonstration inside which was interesting but impossible to get a good photo in the dim light of the barn. I felt a bit sorry for the owls in cages and wondered whether they are happy and whether we should be paying to see caged birds but apparently they take in injured and abandoned owls and return them to the wild where they can. So I think it was a worthy cause. I like the eyebrows on this one. Fish and chips for dinner. Yum.
