The A811
Through west to Rhu to see the Qs for the first time in over five years. Lesley hadn’t been at all well at Christmas, and this had driven Norman to get in touch with a wide circle of friends. Very wide if I’m included, but the SK goes back a long way with him.
The rain sluiced down and as we got beyond Stirling the snow lay across the fields and on. the road. But we got there by 11am and had a great catch up. Ridiculous we’d left it so long, we all agreed as we sat to our fish and chips at the Ardencaple. And puddings. And coffees. And then we were off, back through the rain, at times torrential. I fear that if this doesn't stop soon the seas will rise and flood our house.
