Inquisitive
In places water has breached the rocks bringing with it debris from the lake. In the puddles on the shore side I saw tiny shells, maybe 1/2" across. I was busy photographing them, thinking I could make a collage, when I heard a kildeer flying overhead, calling out its familiar cry.
Not surprising, I tried in vain to capture it in flight, when blow me if it didn't land not ten feet away on the rocks. It stayed for a short while, enough to catch it numerous poses. Kildeer are plovers and usually difficult to see because they blend in so well. Lucky.
Extra: Washed Ashore.
