Sittard
We cycled to Sittard to the regional meeting of European cyclists. Bert is a member. The weather was glorious, with temperatures expected to rise to 26 degrees.
There were only 15 participants in the meeting and 4 speakers. I was most certainly the youngest present and one of the three that did not come with electrical support. I imagine it is a dying foundation.
It was interesting to note that there were only three women present. All three of us rode with their husbands and most of the men were loners.
We were all bicycle-campers-public transport, except for one man who gave a very complicated story in his talk about the hotel-car puzzle. Okay, bike campers are not very polite, because there was a lot of chuckling.
All in all it was an inspiring meeting. It's nice to see that there are more people who don't want to cycle around the world immediately after purchasing their first bicycle.
We cycled back home the same way. The weather was still beautiful, although it probably wasn't 26 degrees.
