N is for North Esplanade…

The street that leads out of town towards the north of the island.
That grand looking blue granite building is the Tourist Information Centre but used to be the States Office; the main office of Civil Servants and that is where I stated work back in 1964; in a room on the top floor overlooking the harbour. I worked for a committee called the Natural Beauties; I think I might have been hand picked or maybe the chap who interviewed me was very short sighted;-
