Before the show

It’s my son’s 30th birthday today. He’s been away for the weekend with friends. He requested a carrot cake for his birthday cake so the plan was to make one. It required two 8 inch sandwich tins but I could only find one so instead I made one large cake. However it’s not cooked all through. I’ll try again when I have the correct tins.

In between making a cake I’ve done some work in the garden with Nigel.

In the evening Nigel and I have been to hear Sam Lee in concert. He was great as always.
