I went through Mum's jumpers, cardigans and t-shirts yesterday and, to my amazement, she agreed to throw out quite a lot of them. The others were put into four piles, those to go straight back upstairs, those to be washed, those to be treated with Vanish first, and (luckily) only one to be mended.

As a result Mum was a bit short of both long and short sleeved t-shirts so we took her shopping this morning, which was very successful. I found it almost as good as buying clothes for myself, but they were both worn out and fell asleep almost as soon as we got back home.

The clothes just have to be tried on now, so fingers crossed.
