Well anchored!

Such a blustery day! It was lovely sunny though :-)

We decided to brave a walk "up the road" even though the wind was so strong ...... intrepid that's us! Lol

Hubby noticed this Crane fly (I think) hiding in the long grass .... not a great photo but not very easy to get!

This poor Peacock butterfly was being buffeted by the wind & tightly hanging on to the Dandelion so as not to get blown away!

The insects in the three bottom images were all sunning themselves on the Ivy leaves in a sheltered spot ..... there are two Hoverflies but not sure what the middle one is ... its antennae look too long for a hoverfly.

It was even more difficult fighting our way back as we were walking into the wind with an occasional sideways gust .... good thing Hubby was hanging on to me as I nearly blew away! It certainly gave us a workout!
