clouds
These cloude were over Burray. I have no idea where they are by now. Has anyone seen them?
I just realised that they remind me of old illustrations, especially in children's books, of the wind as a face puffing out great gusts of wind.
I'd just been on Hunda, which is a tiny island only accessible by causeway at low tide. It looked peaceful , but I was swooped on by about three species of gull and tern which had colonies on the island, a fact which only came home to me when I was already under attack. I found a stick and put on it an old white bucket, which I then walked beneath for protection. It kept the hot sun off too.
This is how all saturdays should be spent.
