Christening

An extra Monday off today and it was time to get those shiny new trail shoes out into the wild. I had mentally prepared myself that I’d probably be ankle deep in mud at some point.

A couple of us got the train out to Church Stretton and then ran the Shropshire Way back to Shrewsbury. It was mostly pleasant, especially as the original plan was to do it yesterday but plans derailed with all the storms. There was about a km where it was solid, slushy mud - not helped by brambles at the sides. Arrived back in Shrewsbury with muddy shoes and shredded legs. Jolly good fun though and 19 miles in the bag!
