BLISTER PACK
On Monday mornings I sort out my tablets for the coming week transferring them from their blister packs into my daily pill boxes. So I thought one of the blister packs would fit for the Mono Challenge today with the theme of " Abstract". Thanks to JohnEdward for hosting.
I needed to go to the village this afternoon and as it was raining when I left the house and a bus was due I decided to get the bus down. Only 3 stops but it saved me getting wet.
First stop in the village was the Health Centre. I wanted to make a non urgent GP appointment. Easier said then done. In fact it wasn't possible. No advance appointments available with any of the GPs. And the receptionist said the next batch of appointment slots hadn't been released yet. I just have to keep checking. If I want an urgent appointment for the same day I can phone up when the surgery opens at 8am. Ive tried this before.....lots of patients are trying to get through on the phone at the same time and when you do eventually speak to a receptionist more often than not you are told all the appointments for that day have gone. So I will just have to keep trying one way or another.
Did some food shopping in Herons and Tesco and then walked home as the rain had stopped.
Then I went into the back garden armed with gardening gloves and secateurs to start cutting up the branches I had sawn off the fallen lilac tree. My garden bin gets emptied tomorrow - first time this year - and I wanted to make sure it was full. So I set about cutting the branches into smaller pieces which would fit in the bin. Quite a time consuming task. As soon as the garden bin was full I stopped. I will do some more after the bin has been emptied tomorrow. Fortunately while I was out the weather was mostly dry. It rained a couple of times but not for long.
Fell asleep in the armchair for a while before having my evening meal.
