Frank's view
Wow, what a scorcher! In fact this needs to be said twice....so, what a scorcher! The summer has finally arrived in London. The smell of barbecues, sun cream and rum was to be found aplenty in SE15 on Sunday. It also marked the re-opening of Frank's cafe for the summer months. Frank's is a pop up bar on the top of Peckham multi-storey car park. It has rather become a victim of its own success though, and the queues for a drink on Sunday evening were ridiculous. Fortunately, the Bussey building just south of it also has a less well known roof-top cinema club...which also has a bar!
This photo was taken while enjoying a very pleasant rum and lychee based cocktail on top of the Bussey building. It is looking north towards the edge of Frank's cafe on the car park roof (including a Bold Tendency art installation) and the iconic city of London skyline in the background.
We then decamped back to my place for a top notch barbecue...well I was bossing it, so of course it was ace.
