Star Oars

A high Spring tide flooded the Quay and Promenade Park today.

A couple of cars parked at the Quayside were likely a bit deeper in water than the owners would have liked and some drivers were in need of rescuing from the Strood (road crossing)  onto Mersea Island.

I walked to Tesco supermarket for some Zloty during my lunch break and observed the tide still coming in and almost up to the bottom of the bridge.

The houseboat was moored Quayside last summer but has been in the current location outside the Muddy duck pub for about six months now.  It has 'from a boatyard far, far away' painted on the bow.
