We arrived home off the ferry to horrendous winds and one of the highest tides we can remember and which caused flooding of streets in parts of Portsmouth, Gosport, Langstone, Emsworth, Portchester and Hayling Island (according to our flood alert app!)  Our road looked like a canal around middnight! This morning it was full of debris and washed up plastic.  This evening is promising to be better, and the sun is trying!

Unpacked, laundry and shopping done, gossiped over the fence with my neighbour. All caught up! Nice to be back.
