Dyson, Dead or Alive?

We bought the vacuum cleaner on the left well over 5 years ago, and it was second hand then.  The brush has recently stopped rotating so I checked for blockages, and pulled it apart to check for hair accumulation. No success so onto the internet.

I found videos on how to dismantle the casing and check the motor for the brush. Slightly tricky without the right tools, and then put it all back together. Again without success. The machine would still suck, but that isn't good enough. With two grandchildren coming tomorrow, we needed to get another one.

I found a replacement sweeper with a hefty discount, and we managed to find one locally. (£100 off!) I have to say the new machine was great, and showed how tired the old one had been even before the roller failed.

I had decided that the Dead Dyson would be my blip. But then when I got the new one it seemed right to have them side by side. We now have to get rid of the knackered one!
