Green Alkanet

………… this pretty little plant just appeared at the back of the border and I had no idea what it was - a quick search revealed that it was Green Alkanet. Apparently it likes a shady spot and spreads really well to give good ground cover ……… and, best of all, it’s very wildlife friendly because the pollinators love it. It sounds perfect for the position it’s in as we struggle to get anything else to grow there due to the overhanging tree branches from the other side of the fence ( too high up for us to remove but still creating a lot of shade) ………. it can spread as much as it likes under there - thank you very much Mother Nature ;-)
