First fire of the season ….

….. and it might be the last for a while as I’ve almost run out of firewood up here in Blackheath and the road to the valley is closed indefinitely. Not only is the farm my source of firewood but my chainsaw, log splitter and just about everything else I need is in the farm shed.
We are getting regular updates from the council on their progress but as they are masters of prevarication and public service speak, it’s difficult to discern the actual state of play. Some of rustycrapp’s recent comments on Blipfoto are probably a more accurate assessment of the cause of the land slip and progress being made on reopening access for the locals.
