Robber fly

Identification - asilidae sp.

Two reasons for blipping this robber fly, firstly, it is the best shot of a robber that I have taken so far, secondly, it is the only shot I got today.

Looking at my folder from this day a year ago, I mostly took dragon shots. There was also a butterfly, spider and a wasp. I suppose I had opportunities for the same today, but turned them down. Perhaps I am being too fussy.
