Journies at home

Clontafleece Co. Down

Aidan and the children have been living here since the end of January.

I knew from their description of the place that I was going to like it but it surpasses all expectations.

The lane rises between gorse hedges to a high point offering views of Carlingford lough, the Cooley peninsula topped by Slieve Foy to the South and the Mournes to the north, then dips down to a solid house hemmed in by corrugated barns with bright red wooden doors.

Every window offers a view of walks your feet itch to do and every field is full of lambs that were born after Easter.  The place is full of hope and beauty.
