RIP Albert "Tootie" Heath

The last of the three Heath Brothers left us about a week ago.  
Their careers as Philadelphia jazz musicians took them away from their Heath Family roots in Wilmington, NC.  Percy Heath was born here and all three spent many summers here at the home of their grandparents.  It's in a quiet area not too far from downtown.  The family grocery store was located on the lot (see extra) that is now vacant.  It was just down the block from their home.  I saw them perform here as a group in 2012.  They were great players and lots of fun.  The Bothers
