Gas Burner

The first gas stove was patented in 1826 by James Sharp in Northampton. In spite of this it took until 1880 for gas stoves to begin to be a commercial success, due in large to the increase in the national gas pipe network. Possibly the world's most famous gas stove is the AGA, designed in 1922 by a Nobel Prize winner Gustaf Dalen.
