Hobart

Hobart is such a pretty, clean city and I really like the architecture here.
We went on a bus to the top of kunanyi/Mt Wellington (first extra) that you can see behind the house in my main photo. Fabulous views even if a little foggy.

Then a visit to the Cascade Female Factory where approx. 7000 convict women were imprisoned- some sentenced for 7 years for stealing 2 pieces of gauze ribbon. The guide told the stories and it was easy to imagine the horror of their experiences….
These stories need to be told, and we need to learn from them….
