Above And Beyond...

Malvern Priory

A lovely sunny day, and with a few hours spare, I drove the forty minutes to Malvern Priory (1085AD) that dominates Malvern town centre, Worcestershire. It's been a place of worship for well over 900 years.

It started with 30 monks and is now a parish church of St Mary & St Michael. It houses the largest collection of stained glass, medieval wall and floor tiles, and misericords in England !

Whilst wandering around the town, I bumped into Steve Gosling whom I haven't seen for a few years and we had a quick catch up. He's from Yorkshire (Nidd Valley) but has a fondness for The Malverns and is on holiday.

It's been about 19C all day so here's hoping we have a nice weekend as we plan to do some cycling!
