Had enough

Took in some of the Canada Day festivities yesterday. This little dog was getting a ton of attention - no wonder! - and eventually just collapsed on the grass. I loved the way the flag contrasted with his black coat.
A bit of excitement - a good rock band was just into their 2nd or 3rd song on the park's stage, getting people's toes tapping, when there was an explosion then another! A power surge caused an explosion on a hydro pole and one of the wires snapped. Luckily the fire hall is just across the road from the park, so emergency procedures were underway in no time. With a live wire down, the area had to be cleared and cordoned off. Unfortunately there was a small fire in one of the vintage cars that were on display. No more band, no more power period! We decide to come home and were surprised that our power was out as well and stayed out for most of the afternoon.
