New light fitting

We had our flu jabs this morning at 9:30, following which we went to the Opera House for our usual Friday coffee group.  It was a very convivial morning.  Afterwards we did some shopping at the Real Food Pantry, Woolworths (for a 3 litre tin of EVO, which has almost double since we first started buying it) and New World for a few bits and pieces.  We looked at the price of fish and the salmon was $63 a kilo, around £30.  The other fish wasn’t much better.  Fish is not on the menu at the moment, sadly.  After lunch I got the quince chutney underway then supported the new light fitting for the entrance while MrMacD screwed it to the bracket on the ceiling.  We’re rather pleased with it.

I’ve not made chutney before so chose the easiest recipe I could find.  It’s now done and packed into jars and next year I’ll be a bit more adventurous.
