Down in the Park

One of the girls from our walking group and I got together for a beautiful walk this morning. We were thrilled to see a big slope of daffodils and tulips and bluebells (not visible here), in full bloom.   We were standing about a third of the way down because I wanted to include La Folie Voltaire. This is the very small restaurant which serves delicious meals outside in the shade of some big Chestnut Trees all through the warm season.

I do love this big park which only takes 20 minutes to get to on foot from my home on the shortcuts. We took a longer way down this morning on very quiet streets and to get more walking in!

A beautiful spring day with fresh green leaves opening up everwhere and blackbirds singing.
