Haycock
A reasonable forecast saw our builders arrive to start the blockwork, and Deb and I drive to Ennerdale to walk Haycock, and Caw Fell, possibly adding Scoat Fell to add three to the total.
As we climbed so the cloud level lowered. Before long we were in the clouds with very limited visibility, then the wind picked up to gust about 40-50mph, and the rain started. A short video of the conditions is on my Flickr page HERE. Deb was nearly blown off her feet a few times, so we took the sensible decision to just do Haycock, then make our way back down. A 10 mile walk in those conditions for just the one Wainwright is always disappointing, but we got down safely.
I did like the delicate nature of these trees through the rain - though everything was wet by the time we got back to the car.
