A trip back in time

The weather put a few of us off cycling, so we went on the steam train to Port Erin and had a walk around the coast to Port St Mary, avoiding the coastal path itself as the winds were ferocious and the paths slippery after all the rain.  I haven't been to Port Erin since I was a student and did a short course on seaweeds (I think, can't remember much!) - the University of Liverpool marine lab still seems to be standing, but closed in 2006.
By the time we came back the sun was shining when we met other riders on the prom in Douglas (extra)
