On the Lookout for Chips!
We're off again! Today we drove over the North York Moors to the east coast, pausing for lunch at Cedarbarn just outside Pickering. Once parked up on the West Cliff in Whitby, we took a walk down to the harbour, called in at the Tourist Information Centre and crossed the estuary to take the steps up to the Abbey. Sadly the weather wasn't playing for blue skies behind the ruins or light on the pond, so we did a circuit of the abbey field and retired to the YHA café for cuppas and chocolate cake. We picked up a few things from the Coop down in the town and drove in to Glaisdale where we are now cosily ensconced in The Hayloft, where we stayed between lockdowns during Covid.
This weekend it is the British Orienteering Championships just down the road and I'll be on photography duty again, trying out Rob's settings. Fingers crossed it all goes well. Tomorrow is the Individual Championship and then on Sunday it will be the Relays.
