Walmer Castle

Deal and Walmer are blessed (?) with two castles- there used to be 3 but one was washed into the sea and remaining stones were collected by the locals and over the years incorporated into their homes.  The 3 castles were built around 1539/40 by Henry V111 in a time when he expected an invasion by either France or Spain, it never came to pass.
Both of these castles are within walking distance and yesterday afternoon l walked to Walmer for a wander around the gardens hoping to see some butterflies.  Sadly there neither flowers nor butterflies, l will have to go again later on.
PS, don't you like the hedges?  I think l may have blipped them once before.
