The Veggie Area Renovated

The work on our veggie area in the garden is now finished. The new veggie boxes are really sturdy - much more so than the previous rotting ones. And the trellises surrounding the area have also been replaced as they were also falling down. The chap who's done the work is a real gem, he works hard and is really nice to have around - we were lucky to find him. We'll now have fun choosing some new plants to grow in the boxes and the trellises, although I think we'll keep the lavender, the rosemary, the raspberry canes and the rhubarb.

(In case you think we have a mansion, it's actually a semi, our half being on the right of the photo. The other half had some major extension work done about 12 years ago with an extra room built on top of the rear part which you can see. Our main garden is off to the right: it's a second plot which was never built on. I finally managed to mow the lawn this afternoon - it's been so wet up to now it's not been possible!)
