Mr Burns pulls it off...

A day watching cricket in marked contrast to last Saturday. At Old Trafford last week there was a danger of getting blown away by gale force winds, at the Oval today there was a genuine risk of sunburn.

This was the second day of Surrey's match against Somerset, and success yesterday with the ball was followed up by a good day with the bat. The foundation was laid by an opening stand of 167 between skipper Rory Burns and Dominic Sibley. The photo is of Burns pulling a ball from Migael Pretorious for four to bring up his half century.

As ever, I took too many photos and I intend to go back for more tomorrow, but the forecast for Monday is grim so I can catch up on processing then :-)
