Thanks for all of the comments, stars and hearts recently. I put in a replacement for the mono version of the photo for the 10th. The same bird but in color.
I've fallen behind in posting from Madera Canyon because of internet problems. Things seem to be up and running so I'll be caught up by Sunday.

This is probably my favorite photo of the week so far. I can’t get enough of these birds. A lot of places get dark-eyed juncos but you have to be here or in Mexico to see this yellow-eyed species.
