Well the foraged flan was a great success last night, slipping down very nicely with a fresh crisp white wine. And  we have just enough left for supper tonight! The Bakewell tart was also rather good, except, as I was getting it out of the oven, yes slightly warm is to be recommended, I forgot I had not put it on a dish and a third of it broke off and slid onto the floor! Fortunately Himself has hoovered that very morning and I had actually washed the floor the day before, so that bit was retrieved and will also be eaten tonight! A very relaxed and enjoyable evening was had.

Today has been sunshine and showers. I've done a bit of work in the polytunnel, which is looking momentarily under control, and  bit of low key well work. The  royal fern fronds are unfurling, all cobwebby and furry.
