Children are the Victim of Adult Vices
This is the centre piece of a series of sculptures by the Russian artist Mihail Chemiakin that stands in Bolotnaya Square, south of the Moscow River. The sculpture depicts two children playing in the centre surround by 13 bronze statues which depict adult vices, such as drug addiction, alcoholism and prostitution, that affect children.
The artist said that the work was "conceived and carried out as a symbol and a call to fight for the salvation of present and future generations".
