Anna and Adam

Adam and Anna arrived last night in time for supper, they had spent a wonderful day in London at the annual coffee festival (Adam is a bit of a coffee aficionado).

This morning Gavin and I were in the woods at 7.45am to meet up with Paul the dog walker, and Fiona, who had organised a special Hungarian Vizsla walk for all their Vizsla clients. There were twelve Vizslas, and they were thankfully all so well behaved. It could have been chaotic but because the breed are very people orientated and stick close to their owners, they stayed with the group and we did not have any that wandered off. In the extra you can see Gavin with Xena, Paul on his left and Fiona on his right. Other walkers in the woods were surprised to see so many Vizslas, not sure what the collective noun is for a group of Vizslas but maybe Velocity of Vizslas would work?!

Later we went out to lunch at the golf club, they do a superb Sunday buffet lunch. the lunch was to celebrate Luke's birthday which was last month, easter and Luke's passing of exams and his new qualification. The chef presented him with a delicious chocolate cake for his birthday!

Meriel was unable to come as she was not feeling well, she has been suffering with intermittent high fevers and needs to see a doctor before she returns to Africa for work next weekend. Tommy, who has been in Majorca this week with Inca's family, was due to land at lunch time and we were looking forward to the boys all being together again - however Easyjet changed their aircraft to a smaller one and so bumped many of the passengers off the plane, including Tommy - their alternative offer was a flight home on Tuesday! Tommy immediately scrambled around and managed to find a BA flight via Madrid and he will only arrive tonight, so unfortunately he missed seeing his brothers.

Anna, who is from upstate New York, is not familiar with bluebells so we took a photo of her and Adam amongst the bluebells to send to her parents.
