London Town

We haven’t seen J & S since before Christmas (well J briefly in Jan when she dropped off a birthday card for Mr C) and I asked them a couple of weeks ago if they fancied meeting up.

We met in Covent Garden and enjoyed a drink or two on the roof terrace of the Opera House.  A first for all of us and also never actually been inside the opera house before either.

From there we walked to a Spanish tapas restaurant we had booked and enjoyed some delicious food.

We then wandered down Whitehall towards Westminster stopping for liquid refreshments, soft drink or coffee for the girlies.  We then queued up at Westminster Central Hall for a candlelight concert.  A string quartet playing Hans Zimmer scores… eg Pirates of the Caribbean, Sherlock.  I had seen the concert advertised that happened to be performing on our day in town and was only an hour long that I thought we could all manage.  It was a nice round off to our day and we were home by 9pm.

Oh and the view of the Abbey and Big Ben was taken through the window as I queued to use the loo after the performance.
