Encroachment
Our last day in and around Chesterfield and we took our two grandchildren to the park. We walked a route we've taken before, and I had noticed this special paving before as well. It is used to show visually impaired people which is the cycle path and which is the part for pedestrians. It is often seen at crossing points but but also in between.
The lines in the direction of the footpath are to indicate the cycle path. The lines across the footpath are to show the pedestrian part.
This is not really the main point of my photo. I wanted to show how the vegetation had taken over the footpath, in this case on the pedestrian part. The extra is how wide the footpath should be!
I have to say that if local government had more resources then the encroaching vegetation would have been kept trimmed back to where it should be. And I would have submitted a different photo.
