Granada, Nicaragua
The ferry ride from Ometepe back to San Jorge was thankfully a smooth one this morning! From there it’s only 45 miles to Granada.
It’s a gorgeous colonial city. It was the first one founded in 1524 by the conquistador Hernandez de Cordoba. We spent the day getting our bearings and had a lovely lunch in the Garden Cafe. It’s so hot here!
This typical street looks up to the main square, Parque Colon, and the Catedral de Granada which was originally built in 1583.
