Where to "Jack"?
After the car was pressure washed and moved into the bay, it had to be jacked up to make crawl space so it could be worked on easily. This is an "all hands and knees" decision. When I walked out to the garage to take this picture of the "work in progress" I heard them discussing the exact placement of the jack in order to put all the wood blocks under and safely hold up the car. Now the darling car will be here for the duration of the rebuilding and repair work. The brakes must be perfect, the transmission will be cleaned and repaired and the engine will probably be rebuilt. This will all take place here. So it is important to decide where to "Jack".
In the meantime there are a few other projects to tend to. July 4th is coming and Grandpa and Larkin are planning to drive the red MG and the green Chevy truck in the July 4th parade. The Porsche will have to give up to that for a while.
A quick footnote:
This was not the best picture photographically but I did think it told the story best. Two guys under the car, working. Does it get any better?
