Arlington court.
L and I got off to an early start and drove to National Trust property Arlington Court, L had not visited since she was tiny.
The very lazy wind was slightly troublesome but the warmth inside the Church and house together with the delightful displays made for the most beautiful start to our visit. We strolled through the woodlands using the set pathways towards the bird hide lower down the valley.
On arrival we saw that the feeders were completely empty, and of course no birdlife whatsoever.I walked around the hide to see if there was any food in the dustbins that usually hold the bird feed they were empty from a few scraps.
We decided to eat the prepared picnic inside the draughty hide and only a few rats were spotted.
A gentle and most pleasurable stroll back to the cafe for a warm beverage and some desperate attempts to blip a bird or two. See extra.
The above display caught our attention inside the foyer of the house.
