My other lane
This one leads from the road to my back door - very different vibe to the country lane feel of the gated access.
Getting through the man-flu slowly, though nights are more broken than usual, making me more lethargic than usual in the day.
Made more contact with "big" customers not seen for years (or never, in one case) who said they're interested in a tasting, but not now - two wealthy farmers saying they're skint, put it down to the wet weather. But all three I spoke with said they'd be up for a tasting in November, all being well. Phil and I even did some "sales" phoning later in the day, but had somewhat lost energy and enthusiasm by then... so after one sale each, Phil suggested we should go home, and I didn't argue!
Nice feel in the unit today, Tuesdays Phil brings their spaniel Tay (short for Taylor), who's a beautiful friendly boy, and only slightly mad (future blip, I'm sure!) - and the ever-effervescent Kie was in for a few hours too.
