Nursery visit

Afternoon visit to the Botanics Nursery to two of the many tunnels, where the plants for the Scottish Plant Recovery work are being cultivated and documented. Interesting background on things that are common in Norway at the same latitudes as in Scotland, and almost extinct here due to deer depredation. They are also working on elms which have survived Dutch Elm disease. 
Blip is a willow; I couldn't conveniently make a note of which willow .. 

It's a small project, about 4 full time equivalent people, with short (3 year) timelines on their grant funding .. 

Choir afterwards. Seems I still remember how to sing after two weeks off. 

A fine day; cold N wind but sunny all day, only the occasional spit in the wind.
