Number147

Wednesday

We are staying with Tessa and Simon at their cottage in Wales.

On route, we stopped at Usk, a very attractive little town, so Hetty could stretch her legs.

When the children were at Primary school, they were taught by a nun called Sister David Lewis. I never thought about her name, it was just who she was. I knew her for many years after the children had left school and right up until she recently died.

So, it took me by suprise to find myself at the execution site of Saint David Lewis, whose name she adopted. He had never crossed my mind until today and I've now discovered his story on Wikipedia.

Simon cooked a fabulous risotto for this evening's meal. Followed by a mixed fruit crumble.

A whole week has passed since the wedding.
