Popped out to grab a book on Zakinthos as our friends a getting married there next year and thought it would be a good idea to make a holiday of it. Did you kn?ow that the capital was all but completely destroyed in 1953 after a large earthquake? Many people died because of the illicit practice of storing boxes of explosives under their beds for use in fishing....!
