Seaspray
An enjoyable end to the day. I'd been whistled up by G, the irascible harbour secretary as a new boat was arriving by loader and would need craned into the yard. He always contacts the most trustworthy members. Or maybe just those with too much time on their hands, of course.
So here it is, an Alan Buchanan 28 built in 1958.
And then a Dutch guy and his son arrived having sailed non-stop over from the Netherlands - their first ever visit to the UK. Shame it was wet and grey. But the big news - who was at the yard but J&S, just back after 2 years and 2 days sailing around the West Atlantic. This of course, called for the cracking open of many beers. I even had to go over to my boat for extra supplies. Aren't holidays great.
