The new leaves on the beech trees are so beautiful. I seem to remember them appearing in the first week of May (which D always called the week of the "greening") so they are early this year. 

It was pretty chilly this morning when Jess and I went out for our walk. I had decided a couple of days ago that it was time to start wearing shorts, but this afternoon I retreated back into long trousers. Brrrr!
