Not Venice
10C but sun forecast. Woke up to a beautiful blue sky, so had to take advantage. Decided we'd take the 10.24 train to Weymouth.
The usual train travel woes. Trespasser further down the line. Train arrived late. We got on. 20mns later had to transfer to the 11:04 as driver had gone AWOL. Well we got to Weymouth in the end, and the sun was still shining brightly for us.
Had a lovely wander along the High Street. Wanted to try a newish? café on the Quay, but wasn't tempted when I looked in. So explored the other side of the harbour and had a cider and crisps on a pub terrace. Went to check out The Sunflower Cafe in a back street, Ukraine owned. Good reviews on TA. Cakes look yummy (lucky I'm vegan). Was closed. Probably not our sort of coffee anyway.
Love uncrowded Weymouth at this time of the year, and good walking weather too.
For a change returned via bus to Dorchester and caught our train back there.
